It is getting closer!

So I might be having my son before the 1st of the year! Which of course will make my sweet husband happy... he wants that tax write off. I went to the midwife today and she told me that I was 2 centimeters, and 80% effaced. So I am to take it easy till Saturday so that I make it to 37 weeks. So that means I have a nice 'To do' list... for others to do of course

1. Install car seat, it is in my car just not installed or adjusted
2. Pack bags for the birth center
3. Finish folding the rest of David's clothes
4. Clean our bedroom, so that we can move the bassinet into our room
5. Clean the bathroom
6. Wash clothes
7. Send out care calender email
8. Organize my postpartum help
9. Take naps (this I will do myself!)
10. Enjoy this time with Robert before little man comes!
If you have any other suggestions of that I should do or not do let me know!

Small Update

Lord have mercy! I haven't been on here in forever! I look at other peoples blogs but never update my own! Well what is to tell. We are still preggo and will be 36wks this Sat. It is a boy David Logan, and I am still working on the nursery. It is a constant work in progress. I get it all together then I have a baby shower and it is a mess again! But I am determined to have it ready before Christmas. I just finished my birth classes so I feel like I am allowed to have this baby! I stopped working 2 weeks ago and loving being at home. I need to put some pictures up!

Baby on the way!

Well it has been forever! And a lot has happened! We are preggers! So excited! I am 18weeks 4 days and we are 80% sure it is a boy. I have been running around Dallas looking for things for the nursery. I feel like this is my mission in life now! Robert is so excited about having a son and being a dad. I know that he will be a wonderful father

I am trying to wrap my mind around the fact that there is a life inside of me that is growing and will be forever changing my body and life!

At 17 weeks

At 18 weeks

I am thinking that this baby is growing out, but it isn't like there is much of a choice, his mom is short-waisted!

A few things in place

So I think I might be biting off more than I can chew. I have decided to organize all my packed boxes! Yes now my new office is a WRECK!!!! But that is ok i have gotten rid of so much stuff.
I have also set up part of my home too.

Not sure if I love the slip cover but you should see what is under there!

Just needs some more color, one of my projects make new covers for the pillows!

After being in their boxes for a year I finally get to display my beautiful Mikasa china!

These are just a few of my changes. There are more to come especially my new curtains that are still on the cardboard roll just begging to be sewn and put on a curtain rod! Still waiting for those sewing tips!!!!

Making house a home

So Robert and I moved to our new apartment yesterday ( will have pictures soon)! It is nearly 300 sq ft bigger than our old place!

So the previous owners left these HIDEOUS shower curtains... they will be the first things to go!

This is our guest room/office

Looking at the kitchen from the living room. This kitchen is bigger and has a bigger pantry!

One side of our living room

The other half of our living room

Our brand new HDTV that a dear friend gave us as a very belated wedding gift, so I am calling it an anniversary gift!

The Master Bedroom

Master Bathroom

I have been going crazy wanting to make it homey! 2 weeks before we moved we bought some new furniture. Yesterday I went to Cutting Corners ( amazing fabric store) and got fabric to reupholsters my dining room chair seats, a bench, to make curtains and pillows, and bought trim for the bench, pillows and a lamp. I am in way decorating mode. Looking for deals for decorative items. My lovely husbands just laughs at me then shakes his head at the price of fabric per yard! But I know that it is a good deal, and told him to trust me on this one! If there is anyone with sewing knowledge, and especially if you have made curtains I covet your informations, tips and warnings!!

Thankfulness

In the midst of the loss I feel joy. I know that the Lord has a plan for me and my life. I know that there is a reason for everything even if I don't understand it now. I am very thankful for my family and friends. I have been truly blessed by them. Through your words of encouragement, and acts of service towards Robert and I, I can see the hands of God working around me, being His hands and feet, the body serving and ministering to the needs of others. Thank you!

Losing

It is amazing what strong feeling you develop when you find out your pregnant. And you don't realize just how strong they are till you either have the child and hold him in your arms, or you lose the pregnancy. Last Thursday, I lost my baby. I didn't realize that even at 8 weeks I was very strongly attach to it, as was my dear husband. I hope that the next time I realize those strong emotions is because I am holding my child in my arms.

After talking to different women, I am amazed at how often women miscarry. It is so easy to think that it isn't happening all around you because you see them with their children now, and don't know the journey it took them to get there. Or assume because someone doesn't have children is because they are just waiting, not, they have miscarried or have fertility issues. It is the silentness among women, we don't talk about it, so we don't know. I hope that I can be an encourager to someone who is or has or will go through this, there is nothing worse than thinking that this has only happened to you.
